Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to common questions

If you’re dealing with a workplace issue, it’s normal to have questions before getting in touch. This page covers the most common things people ask about Voicely, how the service works, and what to expect.

How does the process work?

Once you get in touch or make a payment, we review the information provided and confirm scope, timing, and next steps by email. Work only begins after confirmation.

Do I need legal help?

Not always, and it depends on your individual circumstance. Going down the legal route straight away could potentially make the situation worse. This is where Voicely comes in. For more information, see this article:

Do I need a platform or legal tool to handle this?

Not always. Platforms and legal tools are useful when you already know you need to pursue a legal route or formal claim.

Many people reach that point because early communication wasn’t clear, proportionate, or well structured. If the difficulty is deciding what to say, how formal to be, or how to present your situation calmly and credibly, human-led advocacy writing support can be a more appropriate first step.

Are you a law firm?

No. Voicely is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal representation.

Voicely provides advocacy writing and communication support only. We help people put their situation into clear, calm, and credible written form so they can communicate effectively at work.

Do you provide legal advice?

No. Voicely does not provide legal advice, assess legal merits, or advise on prospects of success.

If you need legal advice, you should speak to a qualified solicitor. Many people choose to use Voicely before or alongside legal advice to help structure their communication.

Why are your prices lower than other providers?

Voicely is not a law firm, so clients are not paying for legal representation or solicitor time. The service focuses on advocacy writing and communication support, which allows pricing to remain clear and accessible.

Do you follow HR standards or guidance?

Yes. While Voicely is not a law firm or HR consultancy, our approach is informed by commonly accepted UK workplace and HR best-practice principles, including ACAS.

What types of workplace issues can you help with?

Voicely supports people dealing with a wide range of workplace situations, including:

  • grievances
  • appeals
  • disciplinary or capability processes
  • HR correspondence
  • workplace disputes or breakdowns in communication
  • preparing written narratives for early conciliation or tribunal

Support is focused on how things are written, not on legal strategy.

What do you need from me to get started?

You don’t need perfectly written explanations.

Most people provide:

  • a brief summary of what’s happened
  • key dates (if known)
  • who the correspondence is with
  • what outcome they’re hoping for

Bullet points are fine. We’ll help structure the rest.

I’m not sure which service I need — is that a problem?

Not at all.

If you’re unsure, choose “Not sure” on the contact form and briefly explain what’s going on. We’ll let you know which service is most suitable before any work begins.

Can you help with urgent deadlines?

Yes — if you have a deadline, you can include it on the contact form.

Deadlines are treated as context, not a guarantee. We’ll confirm availability and timing before proceeding. Urgent or short-deadline requests may require priority or bespoke support.

How long does it take to receive a draft?

Turnaround time depends on:

  • the type of service
  • complexity
  • current availability

We’ll confirm timing clearly by email before starting any work.

Will my information be kept confidential?

Yes. Information you share with Voicely is treated as confidential and handled responsibly.

However, confidentiality does not amount to legal privilege, as Voicely is not a law firm.

Can you work from emails, notes, or screenshots?

Yes. Many people come to Voicely with scattered information.

Once next steps are confirmed, we can work from:

  • emails
  • notes
  • documents
  • screenshots

You’ll always be told what’s helpful to share — and what isn’t necessary.

Will you contact my employer or HR on my behalf?

No. Voicely does not contact employers, HR departments, or third parties.

All correspondence is provided to you, and you decide whether and how to use it.

Do you guarantee outcomes?

No.

Voicely cannot guarantee responses, decisions, or outcomes from employers, HR teams, or tribunals. The service focuses on clear and effective communication, not results. However, we aim to put you in a position where you come across informed and confident so that you are taken seriously.

How does payment work?

Pricing is fixed and transparent for standard services.

Bespoke or ongoing support is scoped individually, with pricing agreed before work begins. There are no surprise fees.

How do you differ from other companies offering workplace help?

Voicely focuses on advocacy writing and communication support rather than legal tools or automated platforms.

We help people clarify what they want to say, structure their correspondence, and communicate calmly and professionally within workplace processes. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice or legal assessment.

Our service is human-led, proportionate, and focused on clarity before escalation.

Is Voicely right for me?

Voicely is likely to be suitable if you:

  • feel unheard or unsure how to put things into words
  • want to be taken seriously at work
  • don’t want to escalate unnecessarily
  • want support without legal jargon

How do I pay for a service?

Payment is made securely online via Stripe.

Once you’ve chosen the service that’s right for you, you’ll be taken to Stripe’s secure checkout to complete payment by debit or credit card. Voicely does not store or process card details.

After payment, you’ll receive a confirmation email and we’ll be in touch to confirm next steps before any work begins.

If you’re unsure which service you need, you’re welcome to contact Voicely before making payment.
